The system combines evacuated glass tube technolgy with heat pipe technology. It overcomes the disadvantage of non-pressurization of evacuated glass tubes so the system can work under high water pressure. Because there is no water in the tubes, this system can work perfectly in winter without breakage of tubes due to freezing. Another advantage is that the heat pipe transfer heat rapidly due to its super conductivity. The solar heat is delivered into the storage tank via heat pipes, the evacuated tubes have no contacts to water, The system can still be operated even under occasional breakage of glass tubes. |
